The Organization of the Petroleum Exporting Countries (OPEC) said on Tuesday that OPEC's oil production rose significantly in September, mainly driven by increased production in Saudi Arabia, despite ongoing disruptions to shipping through the Strait of Hormuz due to conflicts involving Iran. OPEC, which includes the oil-producing group and allies such as Russia, produced 39.07 million barrels per day in September, an increase of about 900,000 barrels per day compared with August.
