Tuesday (September 15th) closing of the international butadiene market: European butadiene FOB Rotterdam closed at $1220-1228 per ton; FD Northwest Europe closed at €1110-1118 per ton.

【Soybean meal】

The monthly report released by the National Oilseed Processors Association (NOPA) showed that the soybean crushing volume in August was lower than expected and hit the lowest level in 11 months. Coupled with the unwinding of the arbitrage trade of buying soybean oil and selling soybean meal, it pushed the soybean oil futures prices to soar.

On September 14th, the total volume of diethylene glycol shipped from the two storage zones in Zhangjiagang was 332 tons, an increase of 88 tons in daily average shipments compared to last weekend. Up to now, the inventory of the two warehouses, Changjiang International and Vopak, has reached 3,800 tons.

On September 16, Sinopec East China's diethylene glycol quotation was cut by 300 yuan per ton. Shanghai Petrochemical's latest execution price is 9400 yuan per ton, with low operating rate; Yangzi Petrochemical and BASF-YPC's latest execution price is 9500 yuan per ton, and the 340,000-ton-per-year unit of BASF-YPC is operating at nearly 40% of its capacity.
