【Methanol】
Recently, the "Chuangxin 19," China's first methanol-powered single-fuel river-sea direct vessel, successfully completed its maiden voyage. With a capacity of 15,000 tons and equipped with a domestically developed methanol-specific engine, the ship achieves a methanol substitution rate of over 90%. When using green methanol, it can reduce CO₂ emissions by more than 90%. This vessel is the first of five methanol-powered ships in the initial batch, with the remaining four expected to enter operation by May 2026, marking a critical step in the commercial application of methanol in the shipping industry.09:59
