【Steel】
The National Development and Reform Commission and the National Energy Administration have issued the "15th Five-Year Plan for Building a New Energy System." The plan mentions accelerating the transformation of traditional industries such as steel, non-ferrous metals, petrochemicals, chemicals, and building materials, and promoting the use of electric boilers, electric heating, and electrically assisted heat furnaces and kilns. It calls for improving the storage, transportation, and refueling network for green fuels in key areas, urban agglomerations, and major transportation corridors; promoting the construction of energy replenishment facilities for heavy trucks along main freight routes; and accelerating the transition to green power for inland river shipping, such as the Yangtze River. The plan also seeks to optimize and expand the utilization of natural gas and promote its blending with hydrogen. It emphasizes strengthening the supply of key mineral resources for new energy, deeply implementing a new round of strategic mineral exploration breakthrough actions, and reinforcing the exploration and development of key mineral resources in the upstream of the new energy industry chain. Additionally, it aims to build strategic mineral reserves of appropriate scale, and scientifically determine the varieties, scale, and construction sequence of these reserves. Finally, it promotes the recycling of waste resources such as decommissioned wind turbines, photovoltaic modules, and lithium batteries.08:57
