The prosperity of China's manufacturing industry improved significantly in August, but overall economic activity remained below the boom-bust line. Data released by the National Bureau of Statistics showed that my country's manufacturing PMI in August was 49.8%, up 0.6 percentage points month-on-month; the non-manufacturing PMI was 49.0%, flat month-on-month; the comprehensive PMI output index was 49.5%, up 0.2 percentage points. The PMI of equipment manufacturing and high-tech manufacturing were 51.4% and 52.9% respectively, continuing to be in the expansion range.

The July 2026 report newly released by ANRPC predicts that global natural rubber output is expected to fall by 5.2% to 1.321 million tons in July, an increase of 6.3% compared with the previous month; natural rubber consumption is expected to rise by 0.8% to 1.297 million tons, an increase of 0.3% compared with the previous month. In the first seven months, the global cumulative natural rubber output is expected to drop by 2.3% to 7.426 million tons, and the cumulative consumption is expected to drop by 1.6% to 8.759 million tons.
