On August 13, the PVC market in the Zibo region saw little change, with prices fluctuating within a narrow range. The futures market showed weak momentum, while the spot market mainly held firm. Today, dealers' quotes were within 20 yuan of the previous trading day. Currently, the mainstream pickup price for calcium carbide-based Type 5 PVC is in the range of 4,430-4,480 yuan/ton.

On August 13, the capacity of Changzhou Xinyang's phthalic anhydride unit is 100,000 tons. The operating rate of the plant is around 50%, and inventory levels are low. The quoted price for phthalic anhydride is 9,150 yuan/ton, an increase of 50 yuan/ton. Orders are accepted on a limited basis.
