On September 8th, the PVC market in Zibo area operated on the stronger side. The futures market rose sharply, and the spot market followed suit significantly. Quotations from dealers went up along with the market, and most tended to negotiate orders individually. Today, most dealer offers were at relatively high levels, but the wait-and-see attitude at high prices intensified, with few actual transactions concluded. Currently, the mainstream pickup price for calcium carbide method type 5 PVC is in the range of 4980-5030 yuan/ton.

On September 8th, the 150,000 tons/year phenol-ketone plant in Harbin, Blue Star is operating normally. The price of acetone has been raised by 300 yuan to 8500 yuan per ton, and shipments are carried out as planned.

On September 8, the acetone price of Zhejiang Petrochemical was raised by 300 yuan to 7800 yuan/ton for pickup at Jiangyin warehouse. The 650,000-ton/year phenol-acetone plant in Phase I and the 650,000-ton/year phenol-acetone plant in Phase II are operating normally, with moderate inventory.
