The November report released by the USDA shows that India's cotton production forecast in 2025/26 is 5.225 million tons, which is the same as the previous year's output; while the Indian Cotton Association released its first estimate of cotton production in 2025/26, showing that the output is set at 30.5 million bales (equivalent to 5.185 million tons), a year-on-year decrease of 2.37%. Indian ginning mills/cotton merchants said that production forecasts may still be somewhat high and may be revised downward to below 5.1 million tons later.08:52
