【Raw silk】
Data shows that the operating revenue of large-scale silk enterprises increased by 4.88% year on year, and the total profit increased by 26.13% year on year. The improvement in profitability is concentrated in the middle reaches: the operating revenue and profit of silk weaving processing increased by 13.72% and 127.03% respectively, and the silk printing and dyeing sector also achieved profit growth. While the operating revenue and profit of silk reeling processing both declined year on year, further confirming that the industrial chain profits are shifting from the silk reeling segment to the weaving segment.09:39
【Raw silk】
Data shows that in the first half of this year, significant structural divergence has emerged in the output and benefits of the silk industry chain. The silk output of enterprises above designated size only increased by 0.12% year-on-year, with supply basically remaining stable; the satin output increased by 6.85% year-on-year, and the output of silk quilts increased by 13.07% year-on-year, with obvious expansion in the output of midstream weaving and downstream home textiles finished products. It also shows that the weaving link has certain inventory reduction demand in the later period of this year.09:38
【Raw silk】
According to the import and export data of silk products from January to July 2026 released by the China Chamber of Commerce for Import and Export of Textiles, the total import and export volume of real silk products in China reached 1.023 billion US dollars, a year-on-year increase of 9.78%. The export volume was 835 million US dollars, up 9.01% year-on-year, while the import volume was 188 million US dollars, up 13.34% year-on-year. The export volumes to major markets including the United States, the European Union, India and Vietnam all achieved year-on-year growth. Liaoning Province, which mainly exports tussah silk, saw its silk product export volume drop by 13.51% year-on-year in the first seven months of this year.09:36
