Price trend

This week (12.23-12.30), vinyl cyanide market was weak and consolidated. According to the data monitoring of SunSirs, the market price of bulk vinyl cyanide was 9,625 RMB/ton as of December 30, a slight drop of 0.16% compared with the price of 9,640 RMB/ton on last Friday. At the end of the month, some manufacturers issued settlement prices, which were about 1,600 RMB/ton lower than that in November. By the end of December, the self delivering price of the vinyl cyanide market is between 9,500 and 10,200 RMB/ton.

Analysis review

Recently, some domestic vinyl cyanide units had been running at reduced load, and the pressure on the supply side was slightly relieved.

This week (12.23-12.30), the raw propylene market declined slightly, and the cost of vinyl cyanide declined slightly. According to the monitoring of SunSirs, as of December 30, the domestic propylene price was 7,244 RMB/ton, down 1.82% from 7,378 RMB/ton on last Friday. In late December, due to the impact of domestic public security events, transportation and manpower were affected, and the offer of propylene continued to fall.

This week, the load of the downstream ABS industry was basically stable, and the supply pressure of enterprises remained and the factory price was under pressure. The operating rate of acrylic fiber, butyronitrile and other enterprises was basically stable, and the demand for vinyl cyanide was rigid supportive, but the increase was not obvious.

Market outlook

Vinyl cyanide analysts from SunSirs believed that the cost of vinyl cyanide fell slightly, and there was no significant increase in downstream demand, but the pressure on the supply side eased slightly. It is expected that the vinyl cyanide market will be consolidated narrowly in the later period.
