SunSirs: China NBR Market Continued to Rise slightly
January 16 2023 13:56:14SunSirs(Selena)

The NBR market continued to rise slightly last week (1.6-1.12). According to the monitoring of SunSirs, the price of NBR was 15,650 RMB/ton as of January 12, up 1.29% from 15,450 RMB/ton on the previous Friday. Downstream inquiries were general, and merchants' low inventory quotations were higher. At present, the mainstream market price of Lanhua nitrile 3305 is 15,300-15,600 RMB/ton; Nandi Nitrile 1052 mainstream newspaper 17,400-17,600 RMB/ton.

Last week (1.6-1.12), the price of raw materials butadiene and acrylonitrile rose, and the cost of NBR rose. As of January 12, the price of butadiene was 8,041 RMB/ton, up 3.29% from 7,785 RMB/ton on Friday of the previous week, according to the monitoring of SunSirs; As of January 12, the price of acrylonitrile was 9,812 RMB/ton, up 0.77% from 9,737 RMB/ton on the previous Friday.

Zhenjiang Nandi, Lanhua, Shunze and other NBR plants operate normally, and the supply of NBR is basically stable.

As the Spring Festival approaches, the downstream rubber products industry, such as rubber hose and auto parts, has little inquiry for NBR, and the demand for NBR is relatively flat.

SunSirs analysts believe that at present, the supply of NBR is temporarily stable, and the downstream inquiries are light, but the raw material butadiene continues to rise, acrylonitrile steadily rises, and merchants are reluctant to sell. It is expected that the market of NBR will be strong in China in the short term.
