Price trend
According to the monitoring data of SunSirs, as of January 31, the average price of refrigerant R22 was 18,500.00 RMB/ton, a slight increase of 0.91% compared with the price of 18,333.33 RMB/ton at the beginning of the month, and an increase of 3.16% compared with the same period last year.
According to the monitoring data of SunSirs, as of January 31, the average price of refrigerant R134a was 24,500.00 RMB/ton, which was the same as the price at the beginning of the month, and decreased by 12.50% compared with the same period last year.
Analysis review
The fundamentals of refrigerant R22 fluctuated little in January, and remained stable before the Spring Festival. After the Spring Festival, some enterprises resumed work and raised the factory price slightly, driving the domestic refrigerant R22 price to rise slightly at the end of the month. The price of upstream raw material chloroform rose by 5.49% in the month, and the price of hydrofluoric acid dropped by 12.57%. Overall, the cost of raw materials showed a downward trend. Affected by the fact that the refrigerant trade had not fully recovered after the year, the domestic refrigerant market price was mostly stable.
After the New Year's Day, the price of hydrofluoric acid, the upstream raw material, continued to be weak, with an overall decline of 12.57% in January. The price of trichloroethylene continued to be weak, and the cost of raw materials continued to fall. Affected by the fact that some enterprises had not yet resumed production, the relatively low inventory of enterprises and the light refrigerant delivery after the Spring Festival, the price of refrigerant R134a in January remained stable.
In the aspect of raw materials, the domestic hydrofluoric acid price fell sharply after rising to a high level, and the continued weaker adjustment of raw material cost will suppress the domestic R134a price in the future.
Market outlook
Refrigerant analysts of SunSirs believe that the market supply has not been fully recovered in the short term, and the domestic refrigerant market price will continue to move steadily. Due to the continued weakness of upstream raw material prices, it is expected that the domestic R22 and R134a prices will be weaker under pressure in February.
