As of February 3, the average purchase price of grade A waste yellow cardboard in Zhejiang was 1732 RMB/ton, down 0.69% from the average price of 1744 RMB/ton on January 29. The price of corrugated paper declined slightly. The average ex-factory price of 140g corrugated base paper on February 3 was 3184 RMB/ton, down 0.19% from the average price of 3190 RMB/ton on January 29.

From the observation of market changes, the price of domestic waste paper remained in the state of compensation at the beginning of this week, and then the number of paper mills gradually decreased after the price reduction. Only a few paper mills adjusted the price of waste paper. With the end of the Spring Festival holiday, although the market has gradually entered the state of resumption of production, the stock of the paper mill before the holiday is relatively sufficient. At present, it mainly consumes the stock of raw materials in the early stage, so the demand for waste paper is poor, and the price continues to fall.

In terms of the price of corrugated base paper, the price of corrugated base paper has decreased slightly this week. After the Spring Festival holiday, the paper mill operating rate is gradually recovering, but at present, the market demand of the downstream paper packaging industry is relatively light, and the purchase is basically on demand. Therefore, the price of corrugated paper is more stable this week. Some paper mills started to produce more, and preferential paper prices were used to increase the number of shipments.

According to the paper analysts of the SunSirs, the prices of waste paper and corrugated paper are at a low level at present, and the gradual increase of the operating rate of paper enterprises and the preliminary periodic maintenance are conducive to digestion of the inventory pressure. The continuous increase in the construction of various industries may help boost the demand for base paper. It is expected that the prices of waste paper and corrugated paper will temporarily remain low.
