Price trend

According to the monitoring data of SunSirs, the average price of PS common material at the beginning of this week was 9,600 RMB/ton, and the average price of PS common material at the weekend was 9,366 RMB/ton, with a decrease of 2.43%.

Analysis review

On the 17th, the PS market price fell. Merchant shipments were not smooth, and the main brands were quoted without tax for reference: Zhenjiang Qimei PG33 quoted 10,090 RMB/ton, Taiwan Taihua 5250 quoted 9,200 RMB/ton, Ningbo Taihua 535N quoted 8,920 RMB/ton, Shanghai SECCO 123P quoted 9,040 RMB/ton, Thai Petrochemical 150 quoted 9,640 RMB/ton, Guangzhou Petrochemical 525 quoted 8,520 RMB/ton.

Styrene rose, boosting the market atmosphere to some extent. Downstream procurement was not in good spirits, the supply of goods was slow to digest, and business confidence was still insufficient. The mainstream price of GPPS (polyphenylene sulfide) in the East China market was 8,850-10,600 RMB/ton, and the mainstream price of HIPS (polystyrene) was 9,650-10,650 RMB/ton.

Market outlook

PS market transactions were light, and some manufacturers' quotations were weak. It is expected that the domestic PS (polystyrene) market will fluctuate in a narrow range in the short term.
