On February 14, the commencement ceremony of the butadiene rubber project of Shandong Yulong Petrochemical Co., Ltd. was held!

The project is located in Longkou City, Shandong Province, and is part of the extension project of Yulong Petrochemical's high-end downstream industrial chain.

The construction content includes 150000 t/a cis-1,4-polybutadiene rubber plant (including 2 nickel series cis-1,4-polybutadiene rubber production lines and 1 rare earth cis-1,4-polybutadiene rubber production line) and 60000 t/a solution polymerized styrene butadiene rubber plant (1 production line).

According to the business news agency, in the second half of 2022, the new production capacity of cis-1,4-polybutadiene rubber industry will be put into production, and the pressure on the supply side of cis-1,4-polybutadiene rubber will increase. According to the business agency, Qixiang Tengda's new 40000 t/a Shunding device was put into operation in August, Shandong Yihua's new 100000 t/a Shunding device was put into operation in late November, and Zhejiang Chuanhua's new 50000 t/a Shunding device was put into operation in mid-November.

In addition, Zhejiang Petrochemical's 100000 t/a unit will be put into production in late February 2023; Yangzi Petrochemical 100000 t/a cis-1,4-polybutadiene rubber plant is planned to restart operation in the middle of 2023.

On the whole, the supply of polybutadiene rubber has further increased in recent years.
