SunSirs: The Price of EA Stabilized This Week (February 17-24)
February 27 2023 10:05:58SunSirs(John)

Price trend

This week, the domestic EA market was mainly stabilized, and the market price had little room to rise and fall. According to the monitoring of SunSirs, the EA market fell slightly by 0.24%. The overall market performance was still weak, and the transaction atmosphere was poor.

Analysis review

Recently, the trading atmosphere of EA market appeared to be cold, with less downstream procurement, and the trading range of EA was within the range of 50 RMB/ton. This week, the prices of most large manufacturers stabilized, and the prices of some manufacturers in Jiangsu Province decreased slightly due to the impact of inventory pressure, and the overall range was controlled within 100 RMB/ton. Shandong's major manufacturers were bidding for shipment. The bidding still showed insufficient confidence. Although there was a premium deal, the price had not exceeded the previous level. In terms of raw materials, the price of acetic acid continued to fall this week, with a decline of 2.06%. The positive effect of the previous rise was realized, and the market may face a negative cost in the later stage.

Market outlook

Near the weekend, EA remained stable and supply and demand were basically balanced. In the case that short-term fundamentals are difficult to improve, it is expected that the EA market will continue to be dominated by range adjustment next week. It is suggested to pay attention to the start-up of raw material acetic acid and EA manufacturers. As of the 24th, the mainstream market transaction price was in the range of 6,750-6,900 RMB/ton.
