This week, the acrylic acid market was stable and fell. Recently, the price of raw material propylene rose first and then fell. The cost side support for acrylic acid was still strong. The operation rate at the supply end declined slightly compared with the previous period, but the terminal demand followed up slowly, the enthusiasm for raw material procurement was general, and the focus of the acrylic acid market negotiation was loosened.

Upstream propylene, according to the data monitoring of SunSirs, the domestic propylene (Shandong) market rose first and then fell. On February 23, the reference price of propylene was 7,608.25 RMB/ton, up 1.03% from that of February 1 (7,530.75 RMB/ton).

Market outlook

The acrylic acid analyst of SunSirs believes that the cost support still existed, the market operating rate was at a low level, but the demand was weak and stable, and the market wait-and-see atmosphere was strong at the end of the month. It is expected that in the short term, the acrylic acid market will be dominated by stalemate consolidation, and more attention should be paid to the price change of raw material propylene.
