March 09 2023 10:30:33SunSirs(John)

Price trend

According to the monitoring data of SunSirs, as of March 3, 2023, the reference price of n-butanol in Shandong Province was 7,200 RMB/ton. Compared with March 6 (the reference price of n-butanol was 7,400 RMB/ton), the price decreased by 200 RMB/ton, or 2.03%.

Analysis review

It can be seen from the monitoring chart of the data of SunSirs that in recent days (3.06-3.08), the market of n-butanol in the domestic Shandong region as a whole had suffered from a cold decline. At the beginning of March, the downstream of n-butanol was in the stage of stock preparation, and the downstream demand boosted and supported the short-term rise of n-butanol market. This week, the downstream stock preparation of n-butanol was basically over, and the downstream demand was calm. The support for n-butanol from the demand side was loosened, and the n-butanol market started making profit-cuttings to sell on the whole. On March 7 and 8, the ex-factory price of n-butanol was continuously reduced, with a reduction range of about 100-300 RMB/ton. As of March 8, the market price of n-butanol in Shandong Province was around 7,100-7,300 RMB/ton.

Market outlook

On the 8th, the trading atmosphere of n-butanol on the market was light, and the operators were in a general mood. According to the n-butanol statistician of SunSirs, it is expected that in the short term, the domestic n-butanol market in Shandong Province will be mainly adjusted in a narrow range, and the specific trend needs to pay more attention to the specific information changes on the supply and demand side.
