SunSirs: In the First Ten Days of March, the Price of Waste Paper Fell Continuously
March 13 2023 11:06:54()

According to the monitoring of the data of SunSirs, the price of waste paper in Zhejiang Province fell continuously in the first ten days of March. On March 13, the average purchase price of Grade A waste yellow paperboard in Zhejiang was 1518 RMB/ton, down 8.88% from the average price of 1666 RMB/ton on March 1.

According to the observation of market changes, the price of domestic waste paper fell continuously from south to north in the first ten days of March, and the delivery volume of upstream packaging plants increased in the early stage, and the delivery volume increased significantly. However, the recovery of paper mill demand is relatively slow, most of the operators are not confident in the future market, and the enthusiasm of downstream stock preparation is not high, leading to the shutdown of the paper mill again. Therefore, the demand for waste paper decreased, and the price of waste paper also declined.

Subsequently, the decline in the price of waste paper continued to expand. Under the general situation of the downstream finished paper market orders, the demand for waste paper in the paper mill was weak, so the price of waste paper continued to decline to reduce the arrival of waste paper. However, the packaging plant is not optimistic about the market in the later stage, the shipment speed and volume have increased, and the recovery price has been significantly reduced.

According to the paper analysts of the SunSirs, the weak demand of the waste paper market is the main factor for the continuous decline of the price. The contradiction between supply and demand in the market is prominent, and the paper price is under pressure, and it is expected that the price of waste paper will continue to be weak in the short term.
