According to the statistics of SunSirs, seamless tubes rose slightly this week. By the end of the week, the price of 20# and 108 * 4.5 seamless tubes was 5,132.5 RMB/ton, up 1.99% from the beginning of the week and down 15.72% year on year.

Analysis review

This week's national inventory was 781,700 tons, down 1,700 tons from last week. The operating rate of seamless tube plants nationwide was 62.06%, with a decrease of 1.05% weekly.

This week, the inventory in the factory basically remained stable, the price of tube blank slightly increased, the price of tube blank in Shandong increased by 50 RMB/ton, and the price of tube blank in Jiangsu increased by 20-30 RMB/ton, and some seamless tube factories also slightly increased the factory price.

Recently, the ferrous metal futures fluctuated and rose, and the market atmosphere became increasingly active. The delivery of the tube factory was significantly improved. The transaction of low-price resources in the early stage of the market was fair, while the transaction of high-price resources was relatively general.

Market outlook

With the gradual recovery of consumption in March, the demand for tubes has performed well, and the traders' mentality has also changed from cautious to bullish, and the market as a whole has improved. It is expected that the ex-factory price of seamless tubes will continue to rise slightly next week.
