According to monitoring data from SunSirs, as of March 29, 2023, the factory price of domestically produced industrial grade dimethyl carbonate was 4,800 RMB/ton. Compared with April 9, 2023 (reference price of dimethyl carbonate was 4,800 RMB/ton), the price increased by 100 RMB/ton, an increase of 2.08%.

Analysis review

From the data monitoring chart of SunSirs, it can be seen that this week (4.9-4.13), the domestic dimethyl carbonate market overall showed a slight upward trend. Some dimethyl carbonate units in Shandong region were shut down for maintenance, and the expected decrease in on-site supply of dimethyl carbonate had led to a tight supply side, supporting a slight increase in market prices. As of the 13th, the downstream demand side of dimethyl carbonate has remained relatively stable. The reference price of dimethyl carbonate in the domestic market was around 4,700-5,000 RMB/ton, with several increases of around 50-150 RMB/ton within the week.

Market outlook

As of the 13th, the trading atmosphere of dimethyl carbonate on the market was relatively mild, and new orders were mostly purchased on demand. It is expected that in the short term, the domestic market for dimethyl carbonate will mainly focus on interval consolidation.
