Analysis review

In terms of market supply, the overall number of laying hens was still low, and inventory was not large, which could still provide support in terms of supply. Driven by the early stocking of goods for the May Day holiday, purchasing enthusiasm in downstream links such as supermarkets and wholesale markets increased, and market demand is expected to improve.

In March, the national stock of laying hens was 1.188 billion, an increase of 0.25% month on month. According to the growth cycle of laying hens and the current age of eliminated chickens, as well as the previous data on chicken feed supplementation, it is expected that the inventory of laying hens in April will decrease by about 0.50% month on month. The decrease in inventory and the tightening of egg supply have provided bullish support for egg prices.

Market outlook

Egg inventory is low, inventory is not large, and coupled with improved demand, it is expected that egg prices may fluctuate to be stronger in the short term.
