SunSirs: Coal Prices in Shanxi Province Slightly Decreased in the Third Week of April
May 04 2023 14:06:01()

According to the market monitoring data of means of production of Shanxi Provincial Department of Commerce, in the third week of April (April 17-23), the average price of coal in Shanxi Province was 1121.3 RMB/ton, down 0.5% month on month. Among them, the average price of thermal coal with a calorific value of 5000 to 5500 kcal is 723.12 RMB/ton, a decrease of 2.6% month on month; The average price of 1/3 coking coal for coking is 1372.63 RMB/ton, which is the same as the previous week; The average price of anthracite No.2 was 1268.16 RMB/ton, up 0.3% month on month. The power coal market in the province continues to be weak, with coal companies experiencing sluggish shipments and prices continuing to decline. Some coal companies in the Shuozhou region have lowered their prices by 25 RMB/ton, while some coal companies in the Jinzhong region have lowered their prices by 15 RMB/ton.

The refined coal market for coking in the province is operating smoothly, and the prices of major coal manufacturers and most local coal enterprises remain stable. The sales of smokeless lump coal in the provincial market are smooth, and the prices of large coal enterprises are stable. In some local coal enterprises in Jincheng area, the prices of smokeless medium and small blocks have increased by 10-20 RMB/ton. It is expected that coal prices will continue to fluctuate and decline in the short term.
