Price trend

According to the Commodity Market Analysis System of SunSirs, the average price of PS at the beginning of this week was 9,600 RMB/ton, and the average price of PS at the weekend was 9,566 RMB/ton. The price decreased slightly by 0.35%, and a decrease of 10.45% compared to the same period last year.

Market analysis

Mainstream brand reference quotation: The quotation for Dushanzi 500 was 8,800-8,850 RMB/ton; Saibaolong 525 quoted 8,800-8,830 RMB/ton for bulk cargo, Liwan 525 quoted 8,630-8,650 RMB/ton, Shanghai SECCO 123P quoted 9,500-9,600 RMB/ton, 622P out of stock; Zhenjiang Qimei PG33 offered a price of 10,100 RMB/ton, while Yangba 158K offered a price of 9,450 RMB/ton; Ningbo Taihua 535N offered a price of 9,300 RMB/ton, all of which were inclusive of taxes and ere subject to negotiations.

Crude oil continued to decline, the focus of styrene had shifted downwards, and some petrochemical companies had lowered their prices, suppressing the market atmosphere. Merchants still gave up interest for shipments. The mainstream price of GPPS (polyphenylene sulfide) in the East China market was between 8,550 and 10,100 RMB/ton, while the mainstream price of HIPS (polystyrene)was between 9,200 and 10,500 RMB/ton.

Market outlook

The trading atmosphere of PS is sluggish, and it is expected that in the short term, the domestic PS (polystyrene) price may mainly fluctuate and weaken.
