According to monitoring data from SunSirs, as of May 17, 2023, the reference price of n-butanol in the Shandong region of China was 7,916 RMB/ton. Compared with May 12 (reference price of n-butanol was 7,850 RMB/ton), the price increased by 66 RMB/ton, an increase of 0.85%.

From the data monitoring chart of SunSirs, it can be seen that this week (5.12-5.17), the overall market situation of n-butanol in the Shandong region of China showed a slight upward trend. This week, the low-end prices of n-butanol in the Shandong region slightly increased, with some factories slightly increasing the factory prices of n-butanol by around 50-100 RMB/ton. The downstream demand side of n-butanol maintained rigid demand, the trading atmosphere on the market was mild and the mindset among operators was moderate. As of May 17, the market price of n-butanol in Shandong Province was around 7,800-8,000 RMB/ton.

Market outlook

As of the 17th, the support from the supply side of n-butanol was average, downstream procurement was mainly according to quantity and new orders were based on negotiation.
