Analysis review
Bromine prices were weak this week. The mainstream market price in Shandong was around 22,500-23,500 RMB/ton. The production of bromine in seawater had increased, and manufacturers had sufficient inventory. The downstream support was average, and the flame retardant and intermediate industries were still mainly purchasing according to demand recently, and there was a phenomenon of price being suppressed. The mindset of the bromine industry was average. Bromine enterprises had stable production, average shipments, and a strong wait-and-see atmosphere.
In terms of raw materials: Domestic sulfur prices temporarily stabilized this week, with an average market price of 780 RMB/ton from the beginning of the week to the weekend, and a year-on-year decrease of 80.76%..The manufacturer had no inventory pressure and mainly focused on shipping. Downstream customers followed up on demand, and their enthusiasm for purchasing in the market was fair. The manufacturer's shipment was smooth, and the sulfur market was wait-and-see.
Market outlook
Bromine prices were operating weakly recently, with upstream sulfur prices on the sidelines. The demand following up of downstream flame retardants and intermediates in the bromine industry was general recently, and the supply of bromine was sufficient. The mentality of the industry was relatively pessimistic. Overall, it is expected that the short-term bromine price will be weak and consolidated, depending on the downstream market demand.
