This week (5.29-6.5), the price of raw material methanol stabilized at a low level, and the cost support for chloroform was still weak. According to the Commodity Market Analysis System of SunSirs, as of June 5th, the spot price of methanol was 2,180 RMB/ton, a decrease of 1.28% from last Monday's 2,208 RMB/ton, and the low point during the cycle was 2,160 RMB/ton.

The short-term replenishment orders ended, coupled with the peak season in the domestic refrigerant market gradually ended, the devices of some downstream refrigerant R22 enterprises stopped for maintenance and prices temporarily stabilized. In the short term, chloroform had risen and then decreased. In addition, the total production quota of R22 had been reduced by 19% to 181,800 tons in 2023, making it difficult to improve the demand for chloroform in the medium to long term.
