According to monitoring data from Business Society, as of June 6, 2023, the factory price of domestically produced industrial grade dimethyl carbonate was set at 4,633 yuan/ton, an increase of 67 yuan/ton or 1.46% compared to June 1, 2023 (reference price of dimethyl carbonate at 4,566 yuan/ton).

Analysis review

From the data monitoring chart of the Business Society, it can be seen that since June (6.1 to 6.7), the overall market situation of dimethyl carbonate in China showed a slight upward trend. Entering June, downstream demand in the domestic dimethyl carbonate market had improved, and the trading atmosphere on the market had improved. The improvement in demand drove the focus of the dimethyl carbonate market to slightly move forward. In some regions, dimethyl carbonate factories and suppliers had raised the shipping price of dimethyl carbonate, with an increase of around 100-200 yuan/ton. As of June 7, the domestic market price of dimethyl carbonate was around 4,500-4,900 yuan/ton.

Market outlook

As of June 7th, the overall trading atmosphere in the domestic dimethyl carbonate market was mild, with a relatively stable supply side of dimethyl carbonate and a slight increase in downstream demand side. Business Society's dimethyl carbonate data analyst believes that in the short term, the domestic dimethyl carbonate market will mostly remain stable and stronger, and the specific trend still needs to pay more attention to changes in supply and demand news.
