SunSirs: The Transaction Was Light, and the Price of Potassium Sulfate Fell
June 12 2023 10:45:37SunSirs(John)

Price trend

According to the monitoring of the commodity market analysis system of SunSirs, the price of 50% potassium sulfate at the beginning of this week was 3,466 RMB/ton, and the price of 50% potassium sulfate at the end of this week was 3,433 RMB/ton, down 0.96%.

Analysis review

The domestic market price of potassium sulfate continued to decline, the shipment in some regions was still acceptable, and high potassium cash crop had a slight demand for fertilizer. In addition, the recent operating rate of Mannheim potassium sulfate plants continued to be low, and the early inventory in some small plants was also slowly consumed. As of June 9, the ex factory price of 50% Mannheim powdered potassium sulfate was around 2,900-3,000 RMB/ton, and the ex factory price of 52% Potassium sulfate powder was around 3,000-3,300 RMB/ton.

The transaction in the downstream market was weak. Some factories began to use a small amount of high potash fertilizer for Cash crop, and the use of potash fertilizer was relatively limited. Large compound fertilizer factories were still cautious in purchasing raw materials, basically maintaining the purchase on demand mode, and the demand support was still insufficient.

Market outlook

The domestic potassium fertilizer market lacks positive support, and it is expected that the market price may be dominated by a weak consolidation trend.
