Analysis review
In June, the TDI market rose first and then fell, with an overall stronger performance. In mid to early June, TDI prices continued to rise. The main reason was that the supplier continued to be good, the weekly guide price of a major factory in Shanghai was constantly rising, the news of Covestro's load reduction in Shanghai, and the shutdown of BASF's devices in Shanghai was constantly released, the supplier had a strong attitude supporting the market, the trade market followed the market, and the supplier's offer was constantly rising. In late June, TDI prices showed a downward trend, with quiet news from suppliers and weak downstream demand. There was insufficient follow-up on market purchases, and traders had poor shipments. The focus of TDI transactions continued to decline.
The upstream toluene market fluctuated and fell, with a price of 7,060.00 RMB/ton at the end of the month, a decrease of 90 RMB/ton or 1.26% compared to the price of 7,150.00 RMB/ton at the beginning of the month. On the cost side, Naphtha fell in shock. The falling raw material price did not support toluene enough. Downstream demand was sluggish, purchasing enthusiasm was weak, and the toluene market was weaker and down.
Market outlook
According to TDI data analysts from SunSirs, as of July 3rd, some TDI devices on the market had maintenance plans, which may have a positive impact on suppliers. The trade market followed the trend, and prices rose or fell according to news guidance. Although downstream demand was limited, the supplier's mentality was relatively strong. It is expected that the TDI market will fluctuate in the future. Please pay attention to the factory's news guidance and downstream follow-up after the holiday.
