According to the Commodity Market Analysis System of SunSirs, as of June 30th, the average price of LNG in China was 4,296 RMB/ton, which is 3,750 RMB/ton compared to the average price on June 1st. Last month, the price of LNG in China increased by 14.56%.
According to the weekly increase and decrease from April 3, 2022 to June 26, 2023, it can be seen that domestic LNG rose significantly in June, with the maximum increase in June being 7.525% in the week of June 12.
In June, domestic LNG prices fluctuated and rose. In mid to early June, some liquid plants underwent maintenance, resulting in a decrease in market supply. Coupled with the increase in raw gas prices and favorable cost support, LNG has started a continuous upward trend. The demand for downstream restocking has started to increase, and the market has a strong mentality of favoring prices. With the arrival of high-temperature weather in many parts of China, demand has increased, and the LNG market continues to rise. In late June, after the Dragon Boat Festival, the restrictions on dangerous chemical vehicles were lifted, and the transportation was smooth. Some liquid plants undergo maintenance and resumption of production, with sufficient market supply. Downstream demand is poor, delivery capacity is limited, and high liquid prices have fallen. At the end of the month, the bidding price of raw gas increased, and the liquid price followed the raw material market and rose again.
LNG analysts from SunSirs believe that the overall price of LNG has fluctuated and increased this month. At present, the market has sufficient supply, and although the bidding price of raw gas has risen, the terminal demand is still weak. It is expected that the domestic LNG market will mainly operate weakly in the short term.
