On July 20th, the commodity price index (BPI) stood at 922 points, an increase of 2 points from yesterday, a decrease of 31.35% from the highest point of 1,343 points in the cycle (2021-10-19), and an increase of 39.70% from the lowest point of 660 points on February 3rd, 2016. (Note: The cycle refers to the period from December 1st, 2011 to the present)
According to the price monitoring of SunSirs, on July 20, 2023, there were a total of 61 commodities with a month on month increase in the list of commodity prices, mainly in the chemical industry sector (21 types in total) and the non-ferrous metal sector (11 types in total). The top three commodities with a rise were crude benzene (3.28%), sulfur (3.14%), and acetone (2.90%). There were 32 kinds of commodities that declined month on month, mainly in chemical industry (12 kinds in total) and nonferrous metals (6 kinds in total). The top three commodities that declined were Neopentyl glycol (-1.74%), bisphenol A (-1.58%) and sulfuric acid (-1.28%). The average daily increase or decrease was 0.14%.
