However, this is only part of the capacity release. According to the published statistics, there are 4 PE plants completed in 2019, with a planned production capacity of 600000 tons. Besides, 11 PE plants will be completed in 2020, with a planned production capacity of 3.375 million tons. Plus, 4 will be completed in 2021, with a planned production capacity of 1.02 million tons. China is aimed at replacing the United States as the main driver of PE capacity expansion.
