Analysis review

The market of ECH rose mainly this week. Recently, the price of raw propylene was weaker, the price of raw glycerin was mainly stable, and the cost side had little impact. The capacity utilization rate of ECH and the main downstream epoxy resin industry had increased slightly. Enterprises mainly delivered contracts and early orders, and the market spot supply was tight, which supported the price of ECH to rise. With the price increase and the impact of the expected news of supply increment, the enthusiasm of downstream inquiries decreased, and downstream followed up with a moderate volume on demand.

Upstream propylene, according to the Commodity Market Analysis System of SunSirs, the reference price for propylene on August 3 was 6,638.25 RMB/ton, a decrease of 1.12% compared to August 1 (6,713.25 RMB/ton).

Downstream epoxy resin, according to the Commodity Market Analysis System of SunSirs, on August 3rd, the reference price of epoxy resin was 14,200.00 RMB/ton, which was the same as that of August 1st.

Market outlook

Analysts of ECH from SunSirs believe that the manufacturers were not under pressure for the time being, and the enthusiasm for downstream procurement was general. It is expected that the ECH market will be deadlocked in the short term, and more attention should be paid to the supply side changes.
