SunSirs: The N-Butanol Market Increased Overall This Week (September 10-14)
September 15 2023 14:26:17SunSirs(John)

Price trend

According to monitoring data from SunSirs, as of September 14, 2023, the reference price of n-butanol in the Shandong region of China was 9,966 RMB/ton. Compared with September 10 (reference price of n-butanol was 9,800 RMB/ton), the price increased by 166 RMB/ton, an increase of 1.70%.

Analysis review

From the data monitoring chart of SunSirs, it can be seen that this week (9.10-9.14), the overall market situation of n-butanol in the Shandong region of China showed a slight upward trend. This week, some regions in China had shut down and repaired n-butanol plants. The overall supply of n-butanol in the field was expected to decrease, and the overall pressure on the supply side was relatively low. With no pressure on supply, the downstream procurement enthusiasm of n-butanol had also increased, and the willingness to restock had increased. Therefore, with the joint support of both supply and demand, the center of the domestic n-butanol market in Shandong region had moved upward as a whole, with a price increase of about 100-200 RMB/ton during the week. As of September 14th, the domestic market price of n-butanol in Shandong region was around 9,800-10,000 RMB/ton.

Market outlook

As of September 14th, the trading atmosphere of n-butanol on the market was good, the attitudes among n-butanol operators were positive and downstream demand transmission was good. The n-butanol data analyst of SunSirs predicts that in the short term, the domestic Shandong n-butanol market will mostly be stable and improved, and the specific trend still needs to pay more attention to specific news changes on the supply and demand side.
