According to data from SunSirs, the price of seamless tubes had slightly decreased this week. As of the weekend, the price of seamless tubes 20#, 108 * 4.5 was quoted at 4,730 RMB/ton, a decrease of 0.11% compared to the beginning of the week and a year-on-year decrease of 7.48%.

Analysis review

The seamless tube factory's inventory was increased by 11,000 tons from last week to 752,300 tons. The operating rate of seamless tube factories nationwide was 57.86%, slightly higher than last week. Before the holiday, stock preparation was carried out by the tube factory. Based on the price level of tube billets, the tube factory purchased according to demand, and the storage capacity for tube billets was limited. Due to the rising prices of coking coal and coke, as well as the continuous efforts of policies, the prices of raw materials remained high, and the profits of tube factories continued to decrease. Therefore, tube factories were more cautious in purchasing tube blanks.

As the Double Festival holiday approached, the pre holiday spot market was also basically qualitative, making it difficult to stir up waves. Most traders still focused on the market in October. As of September 22nd, there were still some concerns about stocking and shipping, mixed with some risk aversion emotions.
