According to the monitoring of the Commodity Market Analysis System of SunSirs, the egg price was 9.95 RMB/kg at the beginning of this week, and 9.56 RMB/kg at the end of this week. The price decreased by 3.92%, and the price increased by 18.01% compared to the same period last year.
In terms of demand, due to the continuous improvement in egg sales before the holiday and the rapid decline in demand after the holiday, the current replenishment efforts in the sales area are not strong. With the gradual release of production capacity in the early stage, the production area is facing significant pressure. In the future, we will pay attention to the recovery of demand in the sales area to support egg prices. At present, laying hens are still in the peak breeding season, with an increase in production and inventory, and egg production capacity is still showing a slight increase. However, due to the limited increase in the number of newly opened laying hens, the overall supply level is still acceptable, and the supply-demand contradiction has eased.
At present, the consumption of eggs in the market is relatively sluggish, with downstream processing factories and traders mainly relying on digesting pre holiday inventory, limited demand for new replenishment, and limited end consumption by residential households. In addition, recent weak feed prices have weakened the bottom support for egg prices, with some low priced areas experiencing stable fluctuations in egg prices and some high priced areas continuing to decline.
The supply of eggs has increased, and demand is limited. It is expected that egg prices will mainly fluctuate.
