On October 7th, the average market price in Shandong was 3,700 RMB/ton, and on the weekend, the average market price in Shandong was 3,725 RMB/ton, with a price increase of 0.68% and a decrease of 22.4% compared to the same period last year.

Upstream caustic soda

According to the Commodity Analysis System of SunSirs, the price of caustic soda was operating to be weaker this week. On October 7th, the average market price in Shandong was 1,021 RMB/ton, and on the weekend, the average market price in Shandong was 1,013 RMB/ton, a decrease of 0.78% and a decrease of 24.96% compared to the same period last year. The overall operating rate of caustic soda enterprises was around 82%, and the supply of caustic soda was relatively loose, indicating an upward trend in enterprise inventory. The downstream alumina production rate was around 81%, and pre holiday restocking had kept the inventory of alumina enterprises at a high level. Alumina mainly purchased caustic soda on demand, and caustic soda was shipped commonly.
