Price trend
According to monitoring data from SunSirs, as of November 24, 2023, the factory price of domestically produced industrial grade dimethyl carbonate was set at 4,233 RMB/ton. Market outlook
From the data monitoring chart of SunSirs, it can be seen that since November, the overall domestic dimethyl carbonate market has shown a decline followed by an increase. In the early stages, the atmosphere for on-site trading of dimethyl carbonate was light, and downstream users had limited demand. It was difficult for the demand side to provide effective support for the dimethyl carbonate market, resulting in insufficient transactions of new orders on the market and a narrow decline in the price of dimethyl carbonate. On November 10th, the domestic market price of dimethyl carbonate was referenced at around 3,700-4,200 RMB/ton.
In the late stage, the domestic dimethyl carbonate market experienced a slight recovery. The maintenance of on-site devices for dimethyl carbonate was increasing, and it is expected that the supply of dimethyl carbonate will be reduced, and the supply pressure will be released in the short term. Therefore, the supply side provided some support to the dimethyl carbonate market, and the focus of the dimethyl carbonate market was moving upwards. The price of dimethyl carbonate increased by about 50-150 RMB/ton. As of November 24th, the domestic market price of dimethyl carbonate is based on around 3,850-4,300 RMB/ton.
Market outlook
At present, the trading atmosphere of dimethyl carbonate on the market is average. Although the supply side has given the market a certain boost, the downstream demand side of dimethyl carbonate is relatively calm, and the overall market support provided by the demand side is average. The dimethyl carbonate data analyst of SunSirs believes that near the end of the month, the domestic dimethyl carbonate market will mostly consolidate, and more attention should be paid to the changes in supply and demand information.
