SunSirs: Domestic Bromine Market Is Running Steadily
February 20 2020 09:31:51SunSirs(John)

Price trend

According to the data monitoring of the bulk list of SunSirs, at present, the domestic bromine market is weak and stable, and the average price of bromine in China remains around 30,277 RMB/ton, down 12.87% from the same period last year.

Analysis review

Product: Due to factors such as weather and resource protection policies, and the impact of work restriction caused by the new crown pneumonia epidemic, domestic bromine producers are generally in the parking period, stocks in the industry are exhausted, and market supply is tight. However, the downstream just needs to be mediocre, and logistics and transportation has just resumed, so the industry's trading volume is light. At present, mainstream companies are quoting around 29,500-30,050 RMB/ton.

Industrial chain: The upstream market of bromine in China is light and stable, the market is under construction, the transportation is limited, and the downstream demand is flat. At present, sulfur is about 470 RMB/ton, sulfuric acid is about 320 RMB/ton, caustic soda is about 600 RMB/ton, and soda ash is about 1,550 RMB/ton. In the downstream, the market performance of flame retardants is relatively weak, and the pharmaceutical and agricultural intermediate industries are on the low side, which has a negative impact on the price of bromine as a whole.

Market outlook

According to the bromine industry analysts of SunSirs, the supply and demand of bromine market in China are weak at present, which will maintain stable operation in the short term. After the two sessions and the epidemic, the market will usher in a turnaround.
