SunSirs: China NBR is Weak and slightly Declines
December 13 2023 10:02:22SunSirs(Selena)

Recently (12.1-12.12), the NBR market has been weak and slightly declined. According to the Commodity Market Analysis System of Shengyishe, as of December 12th, the price of NBR was 14,475 RMB/ton, a decrease of 1.36% from 14,675 RMB/ton at the beginning of the month. The price of raw material butadiene has dropped significantly, while the price of acrylonitrile has slightly decreased, and the cost center of NBR has declined; The downstream gradually enters the low season in winter, with low inquiries and low market transactions. The overall price of NBR in the market is weakly adjusted. As of December 12th, the mainstream market price of Lanhua Nitrile 3305 in East China is 13,500-13,600 RMB/ton; Shunze nitrile 3355 mainstream reported 14,000-14,200 RMB/ton; Nandi Nitrile 1052 is priced at 16,300-16,500 RMB/ton.

Recently (12.1-12.12), the price of raw material butadiene has dropped significantly, while the price of acrylonitrile has slightly decreased, resulting in a downward shift in the cost of NBR. According to the Commodity Market Analysis System of SunSirs, as of December 12th, the price of butadiene was 8,370 RMB/ton, a decrease of 8.27% from 9,125 RMB/ton at the beginning of the month; As of December 12th, the price of acrylonitrile was 9,862 RMB/ton, a decrease of 1.38% from 10,000 RMB/ton at the beginning of the month.

The production of downstream NBR hoses in China continues to decline slightly to a low level of around 5.60%. Inquiries about NBR are cautious, and the trading atmosphere on the market is slightly stagnant, leading to a weakening of the NBR market.

SunSirs nitrile analysts believe that currently, NBR plants are operating normally with relatively sufficient supply and weak downstream inquiries. In addition, the cost side is declining, and it is expected that the NBR market will be mainly weak in the later stage.
