According to the monitoring of the commodity market analysis system of SunSirs, the price of wastepaper in Zhejiang Province continued to rise this week. On December 14th, the average purchase price of A-grade waste yellow cardboard in Zhejiang Province was 1,602 RMB/ton, an increase of 0.88% compared to the average price of 1,588 RMB/ton on December 10th. The price of corrugated paper continues to rise. On December 14th, the average ex factory price of 140g corrugated base paper was 2,824 RMB/ton, an increase of 0.36% compared to the average price of 2,814 RMB/ton on December 10th.
By observing market changes, it can be seen that the prices of wastepaper in Zhejiang region have continued to rise this week, and the domestic wastepaper market prices have also continued to rise on a large scale. Due to the high production enthusiasm of downstream paper mills and their low inventory of wastepaper, there has been an increase in the purchase price of wastepaper, and interest in purchasing waste yellow cardboard continues to rise, which is conducive to the realization of demand for waste yellow cardboard.
The price of corrugated base paper has remained stable and rising. Recently, with the continuous increase in wastepaper prices and the release of price increase plans by large-scale paper mills, the market's bullish sentiment has been intensified. With the cumulative 2-3 rounds of price increase by paper mills, the bullish sentiment of small and medium-sized paper mills has increased, followed by the rise of second and third tier paper mills, and the market's trading center has slightly shifted upwards. Affected by this, downstream packaging factories have slightly increased their purchasing enthusiasm, and enterprise inventory has declined month on month. In addition, the current market trading is stable, and the supply-demand relationship has slightly eased.
The paper analyst from SunSirs believes that both the wastepaper and corrugated paper markets are currently in an upward trend, with a strong bullish atmosphere in the market. Downstream packaging factories are buying on dips to replenish inventory, but due to the general impact of orders, the purchasing mentality of raw paper is still cautious. In addition, orders for the Spring Festival and New Year's Day have not been fully released yet, and there is a certain expectation of incremental market demand. It is expected that the prices of wastepaper and corrugated paper will be relatively strong in the short term.
