Acrylonitrile-butadiene rubber prices continued to be weak this week (Feb.17-21), with prices at 15,800 RMB/ton at the beginning of the week and down 0.42% at 15,733 RMB /ton at the end of the week.

From the perspective of raw materials, the low price of raw materials has negative impac on the cost of acrylonitrile-butadiene rubber. Affected by the decline in crude oil prices, raw materials butadiene and acrylonitrile factory prices have been falling. The butadiene prices, as of February 21 is 6,393 RMB/ton. Acrylonitrile Sinopec Chemical Co., LTD. North and east China in February reduced the price to 9,500 RMB/ton.

From the perspective of acrylonitrile-butadiene rubber enterprises, the overall operating rate of acrylonitrile-butadiene rubber enterprises has declined. Some nitrile ex-factory prices are stable while most of the external did not quote temporarily.  

The acrylonitrile-butadiene rubber unit of Lanzhou petrochemical works normally, and the ex-factory price is stable. At present, N41E is quoted at 15,000 RMB/ton, 3305E at 15,500 RMB/ton, and 3308E at 15,600 RMB/ton. Ningbo Shunze nitrile device parking, nitrile 3355 market mainstream price at 15000~15400 RMB/ton. The nitrile unit is in normal operation. At present, the mainstream price of nitrile 1052 is 16300~16800 RMB/ton.

In terms of the downstream, the resumption of work in the downstream is still slow. Coupled with the incomplete recovery of traffic, the delivery of nitrile rubber is not ideal. And the procurement in the downstream is weak, which is a strong negative for nitrile rubber.

Market forecasting aspect, SunSirs acrylonitrile-butadiene rubber analysts believe that raw material prices significantly lower. Coupled with the industry as a whole low, it forms an adverse situation for acrylonitrile-butadiene rubber. It is expected that acrylonitrile-butadiene rubber will maintain a small decline in the future.
