Analysis review
The sulfur market in the East China region had experienced a broad decline, with normal operation of on-site sulfur plants and sufficient supply of goods in the market. However, the utilization rate of downstream plant capacity had decreased, weakening the enthusiasm for sulfur procurement. Market trading had been weak, and sulfur refinery shipments had been poor. At the same time, port prices continued to decline, which had a negative impact on the spot market. The bearish sentiment in the market was shrouded, and in order to stimulate shipments, refinery prices were significantly reduced at the beginning of the week.
Market outlook
The supply side had sufficient supply of goods, downstream demand was weak, and the situation of on-site supply exceeding demand was obvious. It is expected that the sulfur market will be weakly consolidating in the short term.
