On January 17th, international crude oil futures saw mixed ups and downs. US WTI crude oil futures closed slightly higher, with the main contract settlement price at $72.56 per barrel, up $0.16 or 0.2%. Brent crude oil futures fell, with the settlement price of the main contract at $77.88 per barrel, a decrease of $0.41 or 0.6%.
