SunSirs: The Plant Shutdowns of Many Aniline Manufactures Bring Benefits in February
March 03 2020 11:04:32SunSirs(John)

Price trend

According to the data of SunSirs, the aniline price in Nanjing was 6,800 RMB/ton on February 1, and the price in Shandong was 6,400 RMB/ton. On February 28, the aniline price in Nanjing was 7,300 RMB/ton.

Analysis review

In terms of raw materials: Affected by the epidemic, crude oil and pure benzene in the outer disk fell significantly. Domestic: The starting load of pure benzene is low and the demand is limited; the transportation is relatively limited, and the overall trading atmosphere of the market is not active.

Nitric acid: This month, nitric acid fluctuated downward. On February 1, the price of nitric acid in East China was 1,583.33 RMB/ton, and on February 28, the price was 1,550 RMB/ton, a monthly decrease of 2.11%.

Product: There were many parking devices at the aniline plant in February, which brought favorable supply. Jinmao had no output in February, Shandong Huatai plant resumed on the 20th, and the Jinling plant stopped on February 12.

Market outlook

In terms of raw materials: the large-scale refinery restructuring in Northeast China has been restarted, and the subsequent load will be gradually increased. The supply pressure will further increase, and the short-term pure benzene market is unlikely to improve. The late market concerns the downstream resumption of work.

The aniline plant was restarted, output increased, and softer downstream procurement led to inventory accumulation. It is expected that aniline may weaken next.
