On March 20th, the commodity price index (BPI) was at 942 points, unchanged from yesterday, a decrease of 29.86% from the highest point in the cycle of 1,343 points (2021-10-19), and an increase of 42.73% from the lowest point of 660 points on February 3rd, 2016. According to the price monitoring of SunSirs, on March 20, 2024, there were a total of 65 commodities with a month on month increase in the list of commodity prices, mainly concentrated in the chemical sector (20 in total) and the steel sector (11 in total). The top three commodities with an increase were liquid ammonia (4.82%), LNG (4.61%), and MIBK (3.26%). There were a total of 61 products with a month on month decline, concentrated in chemical (28 in total) and non-ferrous (9 in total). The top three products with a decline were tin (-2.16%), neopentyl glycol (-1.88%), and epoxy resin (-1.52%), respectively.
