Price trend

The titanium concentrate market in Panxi region remained strong and upward in March. As of March 28th, titanium ore spot prices continued to be tight, with low enterprise inventories and an increase in titanium ore market prices. As of March 28th, the tax-free quotation for 38-42 grade titanium ore was around 1,580-1,620 RMB/ton, the tax-free quotation for 46-10 grade titanium concentrate was around 2,300-2,350 RMB/ton, and the quotation for 47-20 grade titanium concentrate was around 2,350-2,480 RMB/ton.

Analysis review

According to customs data, China imported approximately 696,000 tons of titanium ore from January to February 2024, a year-on-year increase of 3.39%, and the import volume increased by approximately 22,800 tons. From January to February 2024, China's cumulative export of titanium ore was about 2,983.75 tons, a year-on-year decrease of 68.87%, and the export volume decreased by about 6,600.05 tons.

Market outlook

In the short term, the market price of titanium concentrate is mainly strong, and the actual transaction price is negotiable.
