On April 8th, the bulk commodity price index BPI was 935 points, up 2 points from yesterday, down 30.38% from the highest point of 1,343 points (2021-10-19) in the cycle, and up 41.67% from the lowest point of 660 points on February 3, 2016. (Note: The cycle refers to the period from December 1, 2011 to the present)
According to the price monitoring of the Business Community, on April 8, 2024, there were 102 commodities that rose in the commodity price list, which were concentrated in the chemical industry (44 in total) and the nonferrous metal industry (18 in total). The commodities with a rise of more than 5% were mainly concentrated in the nonferrous metal industry. The top three commodities were dysprosium oxide (8.80%), dysprosium iron alloy (7.08%), and praseodymium neodymium oxide (6.12%). There were 72 commodities that fell in the price list, which were concentrated in the chemical industry (38 in total) and the steel industry (14 in total). The top three commodities were hydrogen peroxide (-4.23%), polycrystalline silicon (-3.87%), and N-methylpyrrolidone (-3.02%)
