Price trend

Recently, the market price of isooctyl acrylate had remained stable. As of April 10th, the benchmark price of isooctyl acrylate in SunSirs was 13,125.00 RMB/ton, which as the same as the beginning of this month. This week, the average ex factory price in East China was around 12,500 RMB/ton, while in North China it was around 12,600 RMB/ton. In South China, the average ex factory price was around 12,700 RMB/ton. The circulation of spot goods on the market was relatively limited, and manufacturers and traders were mainly hesitant to sell.

Cost side

Recently, the 2-EH market has experienced a volatile downward trend. On April 10th, the benchmark price of 2-EH at SunSirs was 9,590.00 RMB/ton, a decrease of 2.39% compared to the beginning of this month (9,825.00 RMB/ton). Downstream plasticizer manufacturers had seen an improvement in their shipments, and some plasticizer companies had recently restarted their factories, creating a certain level of demand in the market. In late March, the market price of 2-EH plummeted sharply, with the lowest transaction center in East China dropping to 9,195 RMB/ton. After the price fell to a low level, the enthusiasm for buying and replenishing increased. At the end of the month, the market ended with a oversold rebound, but there was a lack of obvious positive news to boost confidence in the market. After the market rebounded, the sustainability of high price transactions was not strong.

In terms of supply and demand

As of April 10th, the production capacity utilization rate of acrylic acid isooctyl ester enterprises remained low, the on-site spot supply had decreased, and the pressure on enterprise shipments was relatively small; From a demand perspective, there had been an increase in downstream terminal demand, with actual orders mainly negotiated.

Market outlook

It is expected that the market for isooctyl acrylate will operate steadily next week, entering the equipment maintenance season. The impact of raw materials on isooctyl acrylate will strengthen, and downstream weak demand may deepen.
