SunSirs: Demand Increased and Ammonium Sulfate Prices Rose (April 5-11)
April 12 2024 15:41:31SunSirs(John)

Price trend

According to the Commodity Market Analysis System of SunSirs, the average price of domestic ammonium sulfate market was 765 RMB/ton on April 5th, and 793 RMB/ton on April 11th. This week, the price of domestic ammonium sulfate market had increased by 3.70%.

Analysis review

The domestic ammonium sulfate market price had risen this week. The demand for downstream rare earths had increased, and the trading atmosphere had improved, leading to an increase in the bidding price of ammonium sulfate. But the export market was still weak and difficult to improve in the short term. This week, urea prices had shown a positive trend, which was beneficial for the domestic nitrogen fertilizer market. As of April 11th, the mainstream ex factory quotation for coking grade ammonium sulfate in Hebei region was around 740-790 RMB/ton. The mainstream ex factory quotation for CPL ammonium sulfate in Shandong region was around 780-810 RMB/ton.

Market outlook

An Ammonium Sulfate analyst at SunSirs believes that the price of ammonium sulfate had been on the rise recently. The urea market was strong, supported by favorable factors such as increased downstream restocking. However, international demand remained sluggish, and the upward trend of ammonium sulfate was limited. It is expected that the domestic ammonium sulfate price will slightly consolidate to rise in the short term.
